Since 1959, Cantrell’s Towing has served the greater Quad Cities for all towing and recovery needs. From small cars to semis, school buses, and RVs, we can tow any vehicle. Cantrell’s Towing also offers recovery services for accidents and spills.

History of Cantrell's Towing

1959

Started in Carbon Cliff, Illinois when Joseph “Hob” Cantrell started fixing vehicles in a shop behind his house and needed a wrecker to get cars to his shop. When his bosses at John Deere Planter & Plow started letting him leave early from work to fix their personal vehicles, he realized that it was something that he should shift to full time.

1970s

Sons Danny & Lonnie joined the family business.

1975

Added a larger wrecker to increase towing capabilities to include heavy duties vehicles like semis.

2019

Aaron Tennant purchased Cantrell’s and moved to their current location in Colona, Illinois. Cantrell’s shares the same facility with B&B Truck & Trailer. Aaron is in the driver’s seat of a wrecker more often than in his office in Colona.

Picked up and delivered my car to the repair shop quickly. They even billed the shop so I didn't have to give a credit card over the phone. Not that I want to ever have to use their service again, but if I do i definitely would.
